Our Story

Eira Living is built on something most brands can't claim — three generations of genuine expertise in a single craft.

It began with our Poppy, Brian — an Australian war veteran, cattleman and dairy farmer who built a sheepskin business from the ground up, rooted in a life lived close to the land. A man of quiet determination and extraordinary hard work, Brian understood sheepskin the way you only can when it's been your life's work — knowing the difference between good and exceptional, and caring enough to make it matter.

Our Father Bruce followed that same path, equally at home on the farm as in the workshop — and beside him from the beginning was our Mother Gabriele, the visionary who saw not just what the business was, but what it could become. Together they built something that was never just about sheepskin. It was about craft, care, and a deep pride in doing things properly.

Eira Living carries all of that forward. The same materials, the same standards, the same love of country — reimagined for the way we live today. It is our way of honouring our family's legacy and bringing it into the modern world.

Eira (Ay-Ra) — the Welsh word for snow — was chosen for what it evokes. The natural whiteness of quality fleece. Something soft, pure, and worth keeping.

Eira Living carries Australian sheepskin pieces — including several from the original medical sheepskin range — alongside a curated collection that reflects the same quiet ethos: artisan goods chosen with care, and an Indigenous range created in genuine partnership with Aboriginal artists, every piece held to a standard of full transparency and deep respect for the stories it represents.

Some of our footwear is crafted in China using 100% Australian Sheepskin. We'll always be honest about that.A concession to economic reality — and one we didn't arrive at lightly. The design, the care, and the standards remain true to our family's heritage.
